Living a healthy life isn’t only what we eat, but also what we consume. It can be hard some days but I’ve been making it a priority for myself in various ways. When it gets hard, take note but don’t let it hold you back. Get up and try again!
Most importantly on your wellness journey, you don’t need to overcomplicate it! My list of 7 painless ways you can actually live a healthier life is straightforward, realistic tips I live but that will improve your mental and physical health.

Affirm yourself in the morning
Learn to speak to yourself with kindness by reciting affirmations in the morning. You can do this by looking in the mirror or writing down your affirmations in a journal.
Sleep 7 to 8 hours a night
We already know that we need at least seven hours of rest each night. Prioritizing sleep is one of the best things you can do to avoid health conditions. A good night of sleep will also positively affect your mood, motivation, and energy levels.
Nourish your body with healthy foods
Healthy eating shouldn’t only be for weight loss, but for overall living. However, according to the 2015 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, a balanced diet high in fruits and vegetables, lean protein, low-fat dairy, and whole grains is what you need for optimal energy. After all, you really are what you eat to some extent.
Keep good company
“You are who you surround yourself with” Simple and true. Surround yourself with like-minded people to keep yourself motivated and focused on your goals. Keeping good company can also include who you follow on social media. Unfollow gossip sites or anyone who you don’t inspire in positive ways.
Have interests outside of work, making money, and family. Don’t know your hobby? Think about what you enjoyed when you were young, maybe coloring or a sport, and pick it up again!
Live For Yourself
If we try to live to please others’ we will only hurt ourselves trying to maintain their happiness and expectations. Don’t waste your time on earth living for other people, but do so for yourself.
Practice Self Love
I’ve learned in order to fully show up for my loved ones, my audience, and most importantly myself, I have to remember to take time and care for myself so I can love who I am to the fullest.
